Doodles are becoming increasingly popular, but unfortunately many doodle owners are not properly educated by their breeder on their doodle’s grooming needs, or worse they tell new owners their dog will be low maintenance. Doodles are a VERY high maintenance breed when it comes to grooming. I work with every doodle owner to understand what their expectations are, and determine the best grooming schedule to meet them. Most doodles need to be on a grooming schedule of every 4-6 weeks. I understand you may like your doodle to be long and scruffy, but that long and scruffy look may mean your doodle has possibly become matted. Because it is a long and painful process, I do not de-mat any dogs.
